This route is full of amazing sights and is a great way to explore the stunning landscape of the Victorian Alps. The road winds through mountain valleys, past Australia's highest mountain, Mt. Kosciuszko and around the picturesque Lake Dartmouth. 


Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to take a break and explore the local area. In the town of Omeo, visitors can visit the historic buildings, which include the old courthouse and police station. Further along the route, visitors can stop at the historic towns of Dargo and Swifts Creek and take in the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. 


Several national parks and nature reserves along the route, including Mt. Buffalo National Park and Errinundra National Park. The Omeo Highway is an excellent route for those exploring the Victorian Alps.
