Hi, 1st Adventure bike was a Tenere 660 which I owned for 9 years. Rode it to Cameron Corner and many other destinations. Updated to brand new T 7 in 2019. Ride whenever I can as live in Adventure riding heaven(Newcastle Region) Cheers .

G'day...
G'day ...
MoinMoin how we say it North-Germany...
I'm 53 and I have been riding since 2021. I'm on an deployment here for four years (2023 - 2027) in Australia , located in Canberra.
Started with a Suzuki Savage 650 and switched to a Harley Road King. I bought a r1250GS last year... was not really of road but I would like to...
Found this side over youtube "Learning ADV Riding"
I see the main focus is more Area around Sydney... maybe here are some from the ACT to catch up for adventures...

Intro
Hi All,
Just a quick intro about myself, I have been riding for 40 years and have recently dabbled back into adventure riding after a serious accident in 2010.
I blame a friend of mine who coaxed me back via a Harley trip in 2015 to this riding caper and generally I am a better human when I have a bike in my life.
My weapon of choice is a BMW F900GS which I may have killed last ride, see photo, but expect to be back on the road in the new year..
Shed has in safe keeping, a Road King, KTM 640 Adventurer, and depending on the insurance assessor BMW F900GS.
Looking for rides to Cameron Corner, New England and Northwest NSW.

Pairing Sena SR10 with Phone, GPS and 50s Headset
This has been a challenge to get started, but it's incredible what can be achieved when you follow the instructions. Might have needed reading a couple of times, but hey, got there in the end. 😜

The basic concept that worked was not to use the SR10 for its intended purpose and instead to use it exclusively for the wired UHF connection, and nothing else.

Here's the Pairing Process;
It is best to clear all current Bluetooth pairs to get started with a blank canvas. (50s Headset Configuration Setting, press and hold Jog for 10s, turn right to hear "Delete All Pairings", Phone Button to select)
Gday Vern, how do you find the sound quality with the Sena? I'm currently running an EJEAS V6pro mesh comms system (less than $50 each from a big chinese website ). Overall it's pretty decent, mainly using mine for nav directions and some music but find the volume isn't the loudest, especially with the wind noise at speed , despite spending big on Shoei's latest and "greatest" touring helmet. I'm reluctant I guess to drop hundreds of dollars on a name brand comms unit if the volume and clarity isn't a big improvement on what I already have :/
Cheers 👍

Adventure Moto Dirty Weekend Photo Dump
No mobile service available, the way it should be when attending the Adventure Moto Australia Dirty Weekend. It's MotoCamping on a big scale. Which, of course, includes all the things you'd expect on such a trip, wet boots, bonfires literally built with heavy machinery, ice-cold drinks and overnight temperatures that created a symphony of chainsaws among hundreds of tents across the paddock.

I had so many great conversations over the weekend with so many truly incredible people that by the time I had engaged introvert mode for the cruisey trip home, I had a big smile on my face and was inspired for a season of adventure riding ahead.
Seriously, 90 bucks for a whole weekend of fun and bloody good food, plus plenty of entertainment thrown in, Llewelyn Pavey from Brake Magazine sharing his immense knowledge, and a Gymkhana of fun with a vast mix of bikes and characters, and getting…
