Wallace Craigie Lookout marks the northern end of the legendary Barry Way and gives riders one final sweeping view over the rugged Snowy River country. Perched high above the valley, it’s the kind of place where people naturally pull over, take the helmet off, and stare out at the endless ridgelines disappearing into the distance.

For riders heading south, it feels like the beginning of a real adventure. For those coming north, it’s the moment you realise you’ve just ridden one of Australia’s great adventure roads. Big skies, steep valleys, and that unmistakable sense of remoteness make this a must-stop waypoint on any Snowy Mountains ride.
