Stewarts Crossing is a favourite waypoint in the Shoalhaven backcountry — a peaceful riverside spot surrounded by rolling hills and bushland. The ride in is fun, open, and typically quiet… but the crossing itself demands your full attention. The causeway is the only safe line, and venturing off it turns a simple creek crossing into a very expensive swimming lesson. (You already know how that one ends.)

It’s a great place to stop for photos, cool off, or link together a bigger loop through Nerriga, Oallen Ford, and the surrounding fire trails. Just stick to the causeway and you’ll love it.
