Rope Road is one of those classic Watagans gems — a rougher access track that leads to a handful of unofficial, unbookable bush camps tucked deep in the forest. It’s not a manicured campground; it’s the “pick a flat bit, kick the sticks away, and settle in” kind of spot. Riders who enjoy a bit of challenge love it: the track can be rutted, muddy, and a genuine workout after rain, but that’s half the fun.

Once you’re in, the reward is pure Watagans atmosphere — tall trees, quiet bush, no crowds, and that satisfying sense that you’re camping somewhere most people never bother to find. A great option for riders who prefer the wild stuff over the official, busier campgrounds.
