Mount Canobolas is a brilliant little detour when you’re riding around Orange — a winding climb that takes you up through forest, past lookouts, and onto the highest peak in the region. The road up is fun without being technical, and once you reach the summit, you’re rewarded with huge views across the Central West, stretching all the way to the distant ranges on a clear day.
It’s a peaceful spot to park the bike, take a breather, and soak in the landscape before looping back toward Lake Canobolas, Ophir, or the country roads around Molong and Millthorpe. A simple, rewarding summit ride that’s well worth ticking off.
