Why Stripped-Back?

This format gives you the freedom to ride at your own pace, choose your preferred accommodations and meals, and immerse yourself in the adventure without rigid schedules or group constraints. With Vagabond Moto’s support crew taking care of logistics, you can focus on enjoying the ride and exploring Australia’s most iconic landscapes.

What You Provide:

• Accommodation: Choose where you stay—camp under the stars or in local motels. We’ll provide recommendations and campsite options along the route. (We can take care of your accommodation bookings for an additional charge of $1250).
• Fuel: Manage your own refueling at (200km range required). Our team ensures fuel stops are mapped out for your convenience.
• Food: Bring your own supplies or enjoy meals at local roadhouses & pubs. All nightly stops have access to restaurants and pubs. Our support truck is fully equipped to store any and all perishables, so you can keep your food fresh throughout the journey if you choose to!
• Bike: Ensure your bike is fully serviced and starts with new off-road tyres like Pirelli Scorpion Rallys. This will ensure you are equipped to handle the different conditions we may face.

What We Provide:

• Expert Support: Our 4×4 truck handles gear transport, provides mechanical assistance, and offers satellite communication for safety in remote areas, including access to our Starlink portal to keep in touch with loved ones or post the cheeky social media posts if needed!
• Pre-Planned Routes: Enjoy GPS-guided tracks tailored for all skill levels, with alternate paths to explore hidden gems like waterfalls, historic sights, caves and cultural landmarks.
• Tour Guides: Our stripped-back tours run with a lead rider and two sweep riders who are fully equipped to handle any situation that may arise and to ensure a safe and personable environment. Our guides love the scenic aspect of these tours and are a wealth of knowledge in the area.
• Welcome and Final Dinner: Every one of our stripped-back tours kicks off with a welcome dinner and wraps up with a final feast which bookends the ride where stories begin and friendships are sealed.📷

Bike Transport Available

With Vagabond Moto, we’ve got you covered. For an additional cost of $1,200 return (ex. Brisbane or Sydney incl. Spirit of Tasmania Ferry), we offer bike and luggage transport on our dedicated truck and trailer to and from the event. Rest easy knowing your bike and gear will arrive safely, ready for the adventure ahead. Simply fly into Launceston before departure and fly out of Launceston once this epic journey concludes. No one makes accessing these iconic locations easier than Vagabond Moto! We aim to have your bike back within 5 days after the tour finishes!
