RIDE
Our journey commenced in Mitchell, primarily following a 90% off-road route. After a quick break in Gunning and delicious baked goods in Crookwell, we continued northward, reaching the breathtaking Grove Creek Falls. Despite a slight detour due to the dead end at Matchetts Road, we regrouped and visited the historic village of Rockley. We then headed to Chifley Dam for some scenic views before arriving in Bathurst, where I attempted to surprise Gary Theiss at Renshaw’s bike shop, only to find he wasn’t working. Fortunately, the staff called him in, allowing us to catch up. We concluded the day with dinner at the Family Hotel, looking forward to the adventures of Day 2.
