Pairing Sena SR10 with Phone, GPS and 50s Headset
This has been a challenge to get started, but it's incredible what can be achieved when you follow the instructions. Might have needed reading a couple of times, but hey, got there in the end. 😜

The basic concept that worked was not to use the SR10 for its intended purpose and instead to use it exclusively for the wired UHF connection, and nothing else.

Here's the Pairing Process;
It is best to clear all current Bluetooth pairs to get started with a blank canvas. (50s Headset Configuration Setting, press and hold Jog for 10s, turn right to hear "Delete All Pairings", Phone Button to select)
How to Improve Your Helmet Mic Audio for GoPro or DJI Action Cameras
If you’re trying to record clean voice audio inside your motorcycle helmet, you’ve probably discovered just how tricky it can be. Wind noise and your breathing can all sabotage an otherwise great ride video. Here are some quick tips to get the best out of your helmet mic setup:
1. Mic Positioning Is Everything
Where you place the microphone matters more than you think. Lower in the helmet, closer to the chin vent, you'll pick up a heap of wind noise—especially at higher speeds. Instead, place the mic further up where it’s more sheltered and produces cleaner audio.
2. Avoid the Direct Line of Fire
Avoid mounting the mic directly in front of your mouth. I may seem like the obvious place, but you’ll capture every “P” pop and Darth Vader breath. Slightly to the side or up towards the padding avoids this and still picks up your voice.

For those of us who put their mics in the wrong position, have you considered a refurbishment/relocation kit? Dead cat or foam replacement?
My current Moto GoPro settings and why
A GoPro encounters many variables while operating, which is why there is no perfect setup. However, the following are my go-to settings and a little insight into why I chose each one so you can consider the best option for you.
I'm using a Hero 12 on my helmet and Hero 9's elsewhere, so these settings are for any GoPro.

Video Settings
Resolution: 4K—Yep, you can go much higher on modern action cameras, but for what purpose? I'm uploading content in 4K, and while there are higher-definition TVs, 99% of viewers will be watching on 4K or less. A higher resolution will only use more battery. Tip: If you want a longer battery life and don't want to swap them out during a ride, consider dropping them to 2.7K or even 1080 if you only share on social media.
Aspect Ratio: 4:3 or 8:7. Although your video will likely end up…
Is linear + horizon lock a good choice?
If not can you help me understand why not?
Cheers

Gday Vern, how do you find the sound quality with the Sena? I'm currently running an EJEAS V6pro mesh comms system (less than $50 each from a big chinese website ). Overall it's pretty decent, mainly using mine for nav directions and some music but find the volume isn't the loudest, especially with the wind noise at speed , despite spending big on Shoei's latest and "greatest" touring helmet. I'm reluctant I guess to drop hundreds of dollars on a name brand comms unit if the volume and clarity isn't a big improvement on what I already have :/
Cheers 👍
